Please join the Montreal Holocaust Museum on Sunday, September 26, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. for a unique opportunity to experience one of our virtual history tours, led by our own esteemed Museum guides. This event is in collaboration with the International Days of Peace and Montreal’s Journées de la Culture.

What is a virtual history tour?

Our virtual history tours are an excellent opportunity to explore the history of the Holocaust from your home. They are interactive presentations that showcase key artefacts, survivor testimony clips from our collection and other important aspects of our permanent exhibition.

Which themes will be discussed?

The tour will travel through four different sections. First, Jewish communities and culture in Europe and North Africa throughout the 20th century will be covered. Then, the European context before the war will be discussed, followed by a thorough explanation of the years of 1939-1945, beginning with the invasion of Poland. Lastly, time will be devoted to covering liberation, displaced person’s camps and importantly, the immigration of survivors to Canada.
