A Radiant Girl

Paris, summer 1942. Irene is a young, bubbly, 19-year-old Jewish girl. Her family watches her discover the world, friends, new love and a passion for the theatre. Carefree and sunny, she does not suspect the shadow that threatens to thwart all her hopes. French actress Sandrine Kiberlain makes her directorial debut in this intimate, but no less revealing and universal vision of the fate of Jews in Nazi-occupied France.

Presentation and debate moderated by Yolande Amzallag and Virginie Soffer. This event is made possible through the financial support of the Nova Grants program of the Montreal Jewish Community Foundation.
