Montreal – Ben-Gurion University Canada Presents a Pre-Screening of the Movie – Irena’s Vow

Directed by Canadian filmmaker Louise Archambault and written by Dan Gordon, Irena’s Vow stars Sophie Neliesse, Dougray Scott and Andrzej Seweryn. The movie is based on the true-life story of Polish nurse, 19-year-old Irene Gut Opdyke, who was determined to help 12 Jewish workers by offering them shelter at the basement of a German commandant’s home, where she served as a housekeeper. She was awarded the Righteous Among the Nations medal for showing remarkable courage.
