Who is Eva Kuper?

Eva Kuper is a hidden child survivor of the Holocaust, a Holocaust educator, and a member of the Board of Directors of the Montreal Holocaust Museum. She was born in Warsaw in 1940, shortly after the Nazi invasion of Poland. A few months after her birth, her family was confined to the Jewish ghetto in Warsaw. After her mother was deported, Eva and her father managed to escape from the ghetto. They survived the war in hiding. Her remarkable story has inspired an educational workshop at the Montreal Holocaust Museum.

Objects related to the history of the Holocaust

The Montreal Holocaust Museum has over 13,400 artefacts in its collection of objects related to Jewish life before, during, and after the Holocaust. Every year, this number grows as Holocaust survivors and their families continue to donate precious objects to the Museum. Curator Andréa Shaulis will conclude the event with a presentation of historical objects related to Eva Kuper’s remarkable story of survival.
