(Discussion in French with English subtitles)

Join us on March 12th at noon for a discussion on teaching the history of the Holocaust, a subject already integrated into the curriculum in certain Canadian provinces, as well as in France.

In addition to the need to explain a genocide that is central to 20th-century history, teaching about the Holocaust also has a fundamental objective: to contribute to the fight against antisemitism.

However, further research is required to better understand its impact on our comprehension of antisemitism and whether or not it leads to a decrease in antisemitic crimes.  The persistence of antisemitism today requires us to adapt Holocaust education to address this critical issue in society.

Our speakers, Sabrina Moisan and Benoît Drouot, will share their respective experiences and analyses of educational challenges. Alongside this, they will suggest new avenues on how to improve the teaching of the Holocaust so that it effectively contributes to the fight against antisemitism.

Free reservations are required.

Funded in part by the Government of Canada as part of a five-year research project led by Montreal Holocaust Museum.
